The Chatham Education Foundation (CEF) aims to be the premier philanthropic partner for the School District of the Chathams (SDOC), funding grants that drive innovation, enrich and elevate education and support future-focused initiatives. With its storied history and esteemed reputation for academic excellence, SDOC has long set the gold standard in educational quality.
For over three decades, CEF has proudly contributed more than $1.8 million in grants to SDOC, supporting transformative projects that sustain and enhance this tradition of excellence thanks to the unwavering generosity of our donors and the innovative spirit of our teachers and administrators. In the 2023-2024 fiscal year alone, the Chatham Education Foundation provided thirteen grants totaling over $80,000.
To address the increasing financial pressures on SDOC’s budget and ensure long-term support for our students, CEF has established an endowment with a goal of reaching $4 million. This endowment will provide a stable, enduring source of funding, allowing us to sustain and expand our support for Chatham’s educational initiatives well into the future.
Our engagement with the community is vibrant and diverse, featuring events such as Trivia Night, 30th Anniversary Gala, Comedy Show, Teacher Tributes, District Choral Festival, District Art Show, and TedX. These gatherings, coupled with the heartfelt support of our community, will enable us to fund $100,000 in grants this year.
The Chatham Education Foundation invites you to be part of this mission. Your tax-deductible contribution will play a crucial role in sustaining and expanding our support for SDOC and its students, ensuring ongoing success and fostering innovation in our children’s educational pursuits.
"I am grateful to Chatham Education Foundation for its commitment to the long-term financial stability of the district, especially during
this time of uncertainty, and for providing an important avenue for bolstering the educational experience of our students in a sustainable way."
